About AVASO
AVASO Technology Solutions is a global IT services company delivering field services, managed services, and technology solutions across more than 100 countries. Our People & Culture function supports a diverse, multi-geography workforce, and our Total Rewards team is at the heart of ensuring our compensation and benefits programmes are accurate, equitable, and data-driven.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Total Rewards Specialist to join our People & Culture team on a fully remote basis from India. In this role, you will own the day-to-day execution of compensation, payroll coordination, and employee exit operations — while bringing strong analytical capability to help the team deliver consistent, data-backed reward outcomes across the organisation.
You will work independently on assigned workstreams, collaborate closely with Finance, HR Operations, and business teams, and play a key role in building the data infrastructure — dashboards, trackers, and automation tools — that our Total Rewards function relies on every day.
What You'll Do
Compensation Administration
-
Support the annual merit cycle — preparing employee-level CTC data, working on the data and analysis.
-
Assist in salary benchmarking exercises using approved survey sources; maintain salary range tables, grade band schedules, and CTC revision trackers.
-
Process salary revisions, promotions, and increments accurately in the HRIS and payroll system.
-
Prepare compensation analyses, identify outliers, and flag findings for review by the Senior Specialist or Manager.
Payroll Operations Support
-
Coordinate monthly payroll inputs: LOP deductions, arrear computations, ad-hoc allowances, and one-time payments.
-
Validate payroll data for accuracy prior to processing; cross-check outputs against HRIS records and resolve discrepancies.
-
Maintain structured payroll trackers, salary revision logs, and exception registers in Excel.
-
Liaise with the Finance team for payroll reconciliation and monthly variance reporting.
Exit Management & Full and Final Settlement (FNF)
-
Own end-to-end FNF computation for exiting employees.
-
Coordinate with HR Operations, Finance, and business units to obtain clearances and validate inputs before FNF is processed.
-
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and ex-employee queries on FNF, salary arrears, tax deductions, and relieving documentation.
-
Maintain a live FNF tracker covering all active cases, status, pending clearances, and disbursement dates.
HR Data Analysis & Reporting — A Core Part of This Role
-
We are looking for someone who treats data as a first-class output. The ability to build, automate analytics clearly is as important as the operational skills in this role.
-
Build and maintain Excel-based dashboards and trackers for headcount cost, payroll variance, and compensation distribution.
-
Develop VBA macros to automate repetitive payroll and HR processes, reducing manual effort and improving accuracy.
-
Analyse data to identify trends, outliers, and equity issues.
-
Proactively flag and resolve data quality issues across all Total Rewards records.
What We're Looking For
Experience
-
5–6 years of progressive experience in Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, or HR Operations.
-
Demonstrated hands-on experience in payroll processing, salary revision administration, and FNF management.
-
Prior experience in a mid-to-large IT services, technology, or global services organisation is preferred.
-
Exposure to multi-country compensation structures is an advantage.
Data & Analytics Skills — Required
-
Strong Excel proficiency is a hard requirement for this role — not just data entry or basic formulas.
-
Microsoft Excel (Advanced) — VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, dynamic dashboards, data validation.
-
VBA Macro development for payroll and HR process automation.
-
Ability to design structured, formula-driven workbooks from scratch.
Tools & Systems
-
HRIS platforms — SAP SuccessFactors, Darwinbox, Zoho People, or equivalent.
-
Payroll systems — working knowledge of payroll processing tools and salary computation logic.
-
Microsoft Office Suite — Word and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting.
Education
-
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field — mandatory.
-
MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent postgraduate qualification — preferred.
-
Certification in Compensation & Benefits (WorldatWork CCP, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) — desirable
