Role Summary / Job Purpose
The Project Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end project delivery and ensuring successful execution across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction parameters. This role drives project governance, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and delivery predictability while ensuring compliance with internal PMO processes and customer commitments. The Project Manager plays a key role in driving execution excellence, enabling cross-functional collaboration, ensuring commercial and operational readiness, and delivering measurable business outcomes through structured program delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead end-to-end project delivery from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, cost, quality, and customer expectations.
- Drive project planning activities, including scope baseline, work breakdown structure, resource planning, milestone mapping, and delivery scheduling.
- Lead cross-functional execution across teams (Sales, PMO, Professional Services, Operations, Finance, Procurement, Support, etc.) to ensure smooth delivery.
- Establish and manage governance structure, including kick-off meetings, weekly/monthly reviews, customer governance calls, and leadership reporting.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints, drive mitigation plans and timely escalations.
- Ensure strong scope control and change management by owning change requests, impact analysis, approvals, and documentation.
- Ensure commercial governance, including project cost tracking, vendor alignment, billing readiness, and closure compliance.
- Drive execution discipline by ensuring documentation hygiene (project plan, RAID logs, MOMs, dashboards, closure reports, lessons learned).
- Support continuous improvement by analysing delivery gaps, implementing corrective actions, and improving standard PMO practices.
- Mentor and guide junior PMO resources (Project Specialists/Coordinators) to strengthen execution readiness and governance quality

Technical / Process Skills
- Strong project management expertise across full project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closure)
- Schedule management, milestone governance, dependency tracking, and critical path monitoring
- Risk, issue, and escalation management with structured mitigation planning
- Scope control and change management (CR documentation, approvals, impact analysis)
- Strong commercial understanding (budgeting, cost governance, vendor alignment, billing readiness)
- Experience managing customer-facing delivery and cross-functional execution governance
- Ability to build delivery dashboards and provide leadership-level reporting

- MS Word / Google Docs (documentation, SOPs, MOMs, closure packs)
- Project management tools (Zoho / MS Project / Smartsheet / Jira / Asana / Monday.com or equivalent preferred)
- Collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams / Zoom / WhatsApp etc.)
- CRM / Ticketing exposure (Salesforce / ServiceNow preferred)
Decision-Making Authority
- Independently define and manage project plans, delivery schedules, governance cadence, and execution priorities within approved scope and budget.
- Approve and implement mitigation actions for risks/issues and drive escalation decisions based on project impact.
- Own change control decisions, including impact analysis, recommendations, and approval routing.
- Approve delivery readiness checkpoints, customer communication, and project closure documentation before final submission.
- Influence resource allocation, vendor scheduling, and operational alignment to meet delivery commitments.
Problem-Solving Complexity
- Handles complex delivery environments involving multiple stakeholders, high dependency execution, and dynamic requirements.
- Expected to resolve delivery blockers through structured root cause analysis, cross-team alignment, and corrective action planning.
- Requires strong decision-making capability to manage ambiguity, customer expectations, and timeline constraints.
- Drives continuous improvement to prevent recurring execution failures and improve delivery maturity
Stakeholder Management / Influence
- Internal Stakeholders: Sales, PMO, Professional Services, Operations, Finance, Procurement, Leadership, HR, Support teams
- External Stakeholders: Customers, Vendors, Field Engineers, Partner teams
- Role requires strong customer-facing communication, including governance reviews, progress reporting, risk escalation, and closure sign-offs.
- Expected to influence cross-functional teams through delivery discipline, structured reporting, and outcome-driven leadership.
Education & Certification Requirements
Mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, IT, Operations, or related field
- PMP / PRINCE2 (anyone)
Preferred
- ITIL Foundation
- Agile certification (CSM / PMI-ACP – added advantage)
Experience Requirements
- 10–12 years of experience in project management-related roles.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end delivery in multi-stakeholder and customer-facing environments
- Exposure to IT infrastructure, deployments, field services, technical operations, or managed services is preferred
- Experience in commercial governance, including budgeting, vendor coordination, and billing readiness
- Strong expertise in project reporting, dashboards, governance execution, and leadership communication
- Experience mentoring junior PMO resources and driving execution best practices is an advantage
