Mobility Asset Management Specialist

The Mobility Asset Management Specialist is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of corporate mobile assets, including procurement, intake, deployment, and disposal of mobile phones and tablets. A major focus of this role will be supporting a large-scale mobile device deployment beginning in the fall, ensuring proper asset intake, device preparation, packaging, and shipping. In addition to project-based work, the specialist will support daily mobility operations such as new hire device staging, troubleshooting and break/fix cases, wireless number transfers, and handling other mobile-related incidents. This is a 100% onsite role, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the applicable time zone.

Job Description
We are seeking an Asset Management Specialist to support a mobile provisioning team responsible for the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of corporate mobile devices. The specialist must demonstrate professionalism, excellent customer service, and sound judgment while maintaining strong knowledge of mobile technologies. This role also serves as a final escalation point for mobile device issues within the team and user base. While the primary responsibility is supporting a major upcoming device deployment project, the specialist will also handle ongoing daily operational duties related to mobile provisioning and support.
Responsibilities
- Provide strong communication and customer service while remotely supporting users
- Manage a queue of 50+ tickets alongside daily operational tasks
- Provision mobile devices for new hires and existing employees
- Dispatch replacement devices for users with broken or faulty equipment
- Enforce mobile device policies while educating users on compliance
- Respond to technical escalations via messaging platforms and email
- Manage wireless device inventory within the provisioning lab
- Support device forecasting, audits, recycling, and disposal preparation
- Train users on device usage and configuration with empathy and a positive attitude
- Collaborate with support teams to resolve issues and develop effective solutions
- Troubleshoot hardware and cellular issues on mobile devices
- Administer and maintain the organization’s wireless carrier accounts
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in a related role, ideally supporting a large organization
- 1–2 years of experience with ticketing and queue management platforms
- 1–2 years supporting cellular data and wireless number accounts
- Experience managing warehouse inventory, stock organization, and proper storage methods; ability to conduct audits and identify discrepancies
- Proficiency in supporting and troubleshooting iOS and Android devices (e.g., iPhone, iPad) and staying updated on mobile technology trends
- Strong data entry and analysis skills using Excel or Google Sheets
- Ability to lift boxes or containers up to 25 lbs
- Strong verbal and written technical documentation skills
- Team-oriented with a service-focused attitude
- Strong research and problem-solving skills
- Must work fully onsite at the specified location
- College degree preferred but not required
