Overview

The Mobile & AI Developer is a forward-looking engineer who combines solid mobile development expertise with practical applied AI experience. This role contributes to the ongoing development of the FFA mobile application while helping the team adopt AI-driven capabilities that align with the company’s broader technology initiatives. The role is suited for a developer who has moved beyond AI experimentation into real-world application.

Job Description / Role

The Mobile & AI Developer works within the FFA development team to deliver high-quality mobile software while progressively introducing AI capabilities into the product and development workflow. This role bridges day-to-day mobile delivery with strategic AI contribution, supporting the team lead in evolving the application to meet upcoming customer release goals.

Core Responsibilities

Mobile Development

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using the Flutter framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement mobile solutions.
• Ensure software quality by writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in mobile applications across iOS and Android.
• Build and maintain APIs to support mobile application functionality.

Applied AI Contribution

• Apply practical AI techniques to improve product features, development workflows, or user experience within the FFA application.
• Share knowledge from AI experimentation and prior applied AI work with the broader team.
• Evaluate and recommend AI tools, frameworks, or integrations that are appropriate for the application’s context.
• Support the team in building an understanding of AI capabilities and responsible usage patterns.

Documentation & Collaboration

• Develop and maintain documentation for mobile application components and AI integrations.
• Participate in team reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and cross-functional planning.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends in mobile development and applied AI.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.

Experience

• 2+ years of professional experience in mobile development, with Flutter as the primary framework.
• At least 2 years of applied AI experience within a team or organisational setting (not limited to research or experimentation).
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain APIs supporting mobile applications.
• Familiarity with version control practices (Git) and collaborative development workflows.

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating large language models (LLMs) or ML inference into mobile or backend services.
• Exposure to AI orchestration tools or frameworks (e.g. LangChain, n8n, or similar).
• Prior experience in a product-oriented development environment.
