Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Wireless Network Engineer with expertise in passive site surveys, Smart Hands support, and LAN auditing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in conducting wireless site surveys using tools like Ekahau Pro and AirMagnet Survey, providing onsite network support, and executing LAN survey audits to ensure optimal network performance. This role requires a strong understanding of network configuration, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Passive Wireless Site Survey:

• Conduct passive wireless site surveys across various environments (office, factory, warehouse) to ensure optimal Wi-Fi coverage and performance.
• Use Ekahau Pro and AirMagnet Survey tools to collect and analyze data related to signal strength, noise levels, and interference across different building layouts and materials.
• Ensure that the survey meets customer requirements, supporting applications such as VoIP, real-time data transmission, and IoT connectivity.
• Document survey findings, including detailed analysis and reporting, to assist with wireless network optimization and troubleshooting.

Smart Hands Support & Onsite Configuration:

• Provide Smart Hands support for network configuration and hardware installation tasks, including rack-and-stack operations, cabling, patching, and physical troubleshooting.
• Assist remote engineering teams by executing configuration changes on routers, switches, wireless access points, and other networking equipment based on provided documentation or real-time instructions.
• Perform hardware replacements, connectivity validation, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation and handover.
• Maintain accurate documentation of changes, configurations, and onsite activities to support operational transparency and future reference.

LAN Survey Audits:

• Conduct comprehensive LAN survey audits of network racks, documenting cable management, port utilization, and hardware configurations to ensure optimized network performance.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in rack layouts and labeling, improving network traceability and reducing troubleshooting time.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to enhance network organization, and ensure accurate and efficient network operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Ekahau Pro and AirMagnet Survey tools for conducting wireless site surveys.
• Strong knowledge of network hardware (routers, switches, wireless access points, etc.) and experience in configuration and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in Smart Hands support, including installation, cabling, patching, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience in conducting LAN surveys and audits, with a keen eye for detail and documentation.
• Understanding of network protocols, wireless standards (Wi-Fi), and best practices for network performance optimization.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with remote engineering teams.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in networking (e.g., CCNA, CWNA, etc.) or wireless technologies.
• Previous experience working in office, industrial, or warehouse environments for wireless site surveys and support.
