IT Warehouse Subject Matter Expert (SME)

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Warehouse SME to join our depot team in Norcross, GA. This role demands a well-rounded individual with expertise in IT asset management, L2 troubleshooting, and hands-on configuration of IT hardware—especially network devices such as routers. The SME will be pivotal in ensuring operational efficiency, accuracy of stock, and quality configuration of outgoing devices.


Key Responsibilities:


•Perform end-to-end IT asset lifecycle management, including receiving, labelling, inventory management, and dispatching of IT equipment.
•Oversee the day-to-day operations of the depot facility, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
•Maintain stock control accuracy in warehouse management systems and assist in regular audits and reconciliations.
•Execute L2 level IT hardware/software troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, network devices).
•Perform imaging, configuration, and staging of devices including routers, switches, and access points as per client requirements.
•Coordinate closely with project and depot teams to support staging schedules, urgent replacements, and new deployments.
•Maintain documentation and reporting for all warehouse and configuration activities.
•Update AVASO Warehouse & Inventory Management system & ensure all inventory levels are updated in real-time.
•Manage facility resources efficiently to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
•Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and company SOPs.


Logistics Coordination:


•Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods.
•Work closely with transportation providers to schedule deliveries and manage freight costs.
•Optimize logistical processes to improve efficiency and reduce lead times.


Required Skills & Experience:


•Overall 5+ years of experience.
•Minimum 3+ years of experience in IT warehouse, depot, or field support environment.
•Solid understanding of hardware diagnostics, device imaging, and deployment procedures.
•Hands-on experience in configuring routers and network hardware (preferably Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent).
•Familiarity with inventory systems and stock movement documentation.
•Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
•Good To have Certification in CompTIA A+, N+, or similar is desirable.
