Job Summary:

The Infra L1 H&F Technician is responsible for providing on-site support in data centre environments. Key responsibilities include monitoring system performance, managing service desk tickets, and supporting remote teams with hands-on tasks such as equipment installation, cable management, and basic troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor system performance and health.
  • Manage service desk tickets for the London site and support other sites as needed.
  • Liaise with third-party portals (e.g., Digital Realty, Equinix).
  • Perform regular hardware checks and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure optimal temperature and environmental conditions are maintained.
  • Occasionally conduct disk wipes.
  • Coordinate with other teams to resolve issues.
  • Conduct device stability checks.
  • Manage data centre (DC) access.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound equipment logistics.
  • Document issues and resolutions in detail.
  • Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, or deinstallation tasks.
  • Support data centre operations based on service desk tickets.

Scope of Work:

  • Must have prior experience working in a data centre environment.
  • Responsible for rack and stack activities under the direction of remote support engineers.
  • Provide hands-and-eyes support; remote teams handle technical configurations.
  • Physically install equipment, connect cables, and offer console access to remote engineers.
