IT PROJECT MANAGER
The role of the PM is to lead large and complex projects and to take responsibility for the achievement of the agreed goals and objectives. PM will spend most of their time project managing a large or strategically important project, which may be part of a program. The key differentiator will be their project management skills. Whilst probably using established methodology and processes, the PM is moulding them to provide a better solution.
Professional capability in project management is displayed when the leader of the project delivers the results required by all stakeholders. This requires managing the many variables that occur, during the life of the project. The projects that a senior project manager is responsible for are likely to be large and strategically important.
Qualification & Requirements:
- Ability to engage and partner end users and stakeholders as required.

- Ability to embrace methodology and find improved ways of doing things
- Good understanding of the IT industries.
- Integrating project work with Knowledge Management concepts and principles.
Education, qualifications, and certifications
- Degree in business, IT (or other relevant area), or equivalent relevant experience
- Project Management Certification i.e., PMI PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner.
- Minimum of 5-6 years project management experience in the IT industry managing end users facing projects.
- Virtual team management.
- Working in an international environment.

- Creates and Maintains Project Plans (Preferably on MS-Projects Tool): Develops, and continually updates, detailed project/program management plans. Develops work breakdown structures based on the project objectives and scope. Ensures PM methodology is adhered to.
- Supports the Management of the IT Infrastructure Project Portfolio: Work with appropriate IT and business stakeholders to define, prioritize and manage the pipeline of potential future IT infrastructure projects. Work with stakeholders on reporting the status of all projects based on established project management criteria. Facilitate the process to accelerate, decelerate, add to or remove projects from the portfolio.
- Manage Project Status Reporting: Prepares status reports to convey project scope, goals, milestones, budget, risk, status, change requests, and critical issues to the client and project team.
- Develop and Maintain Project Schedules: Incorporates regular updates from each functional team.
- Conducts Risk Management/RAID Management: Maintains documentation for identified risks and mitigation strategies. Proactively gathers and updates risk status and documentation as needed.
- Support Stakeholder Management: Works with technology and business owners to analyse stakeholder expectations for projects based upon approved project requirements.
- Provide Overall Project Administration: Participates in program team meetings, proactively documents meeting minutes, track issues, decisions and action items, and follow-up between meetings to drive issues to closure.
- Project & Portfolio Management Tools: Service Now (SNOW), JIRA etc.
Key Working Relationships:
- Works closely with IT Leaders to understand technology and business needs and goals
- Works with Director of Global Infrastructure to maintain a productive working
- Relationship with technology staff, project sponsors, system users, and vendors.
- Interacts with other IT and operations project managers, senior technical personnel, and other functional or support organizations.

Preferred Skillset:
- Seasoned Project manager with a strong process knowledge (Experience Required: 5-6 Years PM experience in IT industry)
- Extensively knowledgeable on IT infrastructure, networking technologies
- Previously worked on network implementations, new site builds (Green field projects), integrations (TSA: Transition Service Agreement/ Mergers & Acquisition)
- Strong Stakeholder Management: Ability to drive projects to closure & influence IT leaders
- Project Reporting: Ability to provide project status reports for management review.
