Job Description

Position Title: Data Center Operations Lead

Domain: Data Center (DC), VMware ESXi, Storage, Backup

Role Summary: Leads the data center tower, managing infrastructure operations including virtualization, storage, and backup systems.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee planning, deployment, and maintenance of Wintel and Linux servers.

· Manage VMware ESXi environments and virtual infrastructure.

· Administer enterprise backup and storage systems.

· Lead the data center team and coordinate operational tasks.

· Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.

· Monitor system performance and implement improvements.

· Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with IT policies.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

· Deep knowledge of Windows/Linux server administration.

· Experience with VMware, SAN/NAS storage, and backup tools (e.g., Veeam, NetBackup).

· Strong leadership and team coordination skills.

· Familiarity with ITIL processes and data center best practices.

· Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English.

· Strong stakeholder management skills in both Japanese cultural contexts and global environments.

Typical Experience: 15+ years in IT infrastructure, with 5+ years in a leadership role

Language Requirements: Bilingual in Japanese and English
